I was seeing what the phpbb3 portal looked like. Because the modrewrite is on for the phpbb2 installation some links for the forums don't work when you change the script_path from the /root domain location

The phpbb3 portal/forum software doesn't look too bad but I’ll wait until they're both complete before I go live with them 8)

NR how did you get the flags ^ that small. Mine look massive on my forum. I've just tried the UK one.
Do you have all the animated flags I sent you resized...?

In the viewtopic.php file, the flag dimensions are set to 32x20. Here is the code from RCF's viewtopic.php file:

Yep, that works. To maintain the correct aspect ratio, the actual dimensions should actually be 32x24. I had the height set too low here which I have just corrected...

| I've changed the dimensions to 32x24 which looks better actually with my board being a little thinner than the standard phpBB boards. Thanks again |

I couldn't get the animated flags to work on the forum. I think it's because I have to do some sql query manually or something I'm not sure...
What I want to do is just remove all the non-animated ones and just use the animated ones and if someone ask for there own flag to be added then I’ll just add it... |

You need to go through and assign the animated flag name to the flag in your ACP. Right now, all the flags are pointing to the non-animated flags. Then if you have already chosen a flag, you will have to modify the assignment in your phpbb_users record. Since I use MySql-Front to manage and maintain my databases, it makes it a lot easier to adjust all of these settings...

Well I just renamed all the animated flags to the same name as the ones already in the flags folder on the host so I really shouldn’t have had to change anything database wise (I would have thought anyway). For some reason I did see 3 that were animating though, why 3 worked and the others didn’t I don’t know... maybe I didn’t got through it properly... ill try again, failing that I’ll look into modifying the users records
I see the MYSql-Front's main website is down but I managed to download the program from downloads.com, I just wanted to try it as you recommended it but I couldn't even connect to the djpassions.com database. I think it's because it has to be done through the host’s panel only... I’m not sure, might be something to do with it can't connect to localhost or something
I know the program would work with the christopher-powell.co.uk database though because I know the exact host DNS name etc. so I will try the program out soon... |
