I noticed a few days ago that my digest mod aint working right coz i dont get an email anymore, but i thought nothing of it but then a friend has just told me, that he has asked my forum to notify him on replies to posts, but it aint working and iv just tested it myself and it aint worked for me neither!

Call your host and ask them if they can reset your Outgoing (SMTP) email server. They might as well reset the POP3 server as well...

The thing is emails are working and i always get an email if a registerer needs to be activated etc!

If you are still receiving email from new registrations, then that means that your SMTP server is working. What has changed in the last few days? If you can pinpoint when the problem started, you might be able to figure out if it is caused by a MOD that you installed or something else...

well with the digest it aint been working since i changed hosts, as for wanting a reply on posts, i dont use that myself so i didnt know til a friend pointed it out last nite!

When you moved to the new host, did you recreate the CRON job for the Digest MOD? If not, that would explain why it no longer works...

As for your member's email notifications, you might want to test to see if you can receive them. There may be things that are out of your control like an invalid email addy or problems on the member's PC. So you need to make sure that it is a problem with your forum rather than a user problem...

ah forgot about the cron job, i tested the post notification last nite and it dont work for me neither, dont think any really uses it, but it still needs to be able to work! It aint a major issue at least

There might be other instructions that you need to check so look in the docs folder for your Digests MOD to make sure...

As for the email notification, can you think of what might have changed or been added that might be affecting it???

nah the only thing iv added is the smilies mod the other day now im working on the arcade one, im sure its really simple, but its knowing whats up with it!

iv just set up my cron job for digest im not even sure iv done it right, coz iv never done it before lol as i never had a control panel with my last host
