Yeah, I gave you a blank EM password so you could get into EM Settings to adjust everything. How is that going???

Not so good. Of course, when I put in my ftp info, I get the same old error I got before when originally installing (the port 21 error which is bogus as I do use taht port all the time). |

The port number is almost never the problem even though the error message suggests that it is...
Try these settings in EM Settings:

It accepts it. I guess the test will be when I try to install a mod with easymod.
On another subject, I'm looking for a mod or mods with the following functions. (Or perhaps phpBB does this on it's own.) Maybe you can recommend something:
1- Ability to sort users into two different classes. One class can get into all forums, the other can only get into the public area.
2- I'd like a way to ensure users use their real names for one site. Or at least provide it in their profile.

Hmmm...doesn't look like easymod is going to work for me. I tried installing my first mod with it and got a ton of errors starting with this:
Warning: mkdir(./mods/quick_admin_options_1.0.0/processed): Permission denied in /nfs/2/sushidog/xxx.com/htdocs/gbl/jab/admin/em_includes/em_modio.php on line 184
Subsequent chmod errors of course as the dir didn't exist, etc. |
