well i managed to sort this. i've installed the games mod now (i only forgot to upload the edited files to the host lol) 
however, when clicking on Games > « Show all the Games »
i'm getting these errors

There is a much newer version available for this MOD so you might consider uninstalling 2.1.2 and installing 2.1.8. I tried to go to the Author's site to see if he has released a newer version, but his site seems to be dead at the moment. You can try it and see if it works for you:

I have uploaded version 2.1.8 for you if you cannot connect to the author's site:
arcade_mod_v218_183.zip
You would want to add the following to the MOD script so that EM can upload the included files to the proper destination folders. Add it just before the first OPEN command:

No problem at all man. I hope I get the hang of it yes, would be good to set up my own sets etc using php no problem though... i know it wasn't much, but like you say every bit helps... so no problem.

Some host servers don't copy all the files and folders when you use the *.* wildcard. If this works on your's then you don't need what I provided. But since you are overwriting the existing files which all have the same names, it may be difficult to see if the *.* wildcards worked on your server. It would be easier to find out if the previous version of the files weren't already uploaded to your forum folders...
