well it turns out that you were right mr night rider. it was the simple header file which was the problem. it seems to work fine now. but now after all the re-moding... the BBCODE buttons you organized, I tried loading those files, and they dont work now with the fresh site. something must not have installed the same way cause when i load those files, i get red x's and the posting body looks like garbage. i guess it has to be redone.
Is it too much to ask? Are you up for it?
should i install the flash bbcode mod before you reaarage the buttons?

Great. I'm glad that was worked out. I will be interested to see what needed to be modified or added to the simple_header file to get things displaying correctly...
Yes, go ahead and install all BBCode MODs that you want to install. Then I can organize the buttons in the bbcode panel for you all at once...

Ok, I see what was added, but I'm not sure that worked better than what I had already tried. The important thing though is that it does work...
