I am trying to sign up for ix but they are asking me if I want linux or windows what one do I want?

I got the linux one I called the Sales department and they recommened the linux Smile


Blake can you please help me with the transferring of my site?  I have no idea how to go about it so I don't lose anything. Smile

Yes, Linux is the best choice.  It looks like you didn't get to IX through our links below.  I wonder if IX would allow you to use us as the reference or if it's too late?  I had no idea that you were planning to change hosts...

I would be happy to help you transfer your site...

I did go vie your link I even asked them on the phone about it to make sure you got credit.

I just signed up only about an half hour ago I have not recieved an email from them yet confirming maybe that is why.

Thanks for helping with the transfer I have so much I am scared I will mess it up or lose files during the transfer.   As always your a site saver!  headbang

You don't need to be nervous about the move.  It should go smoothly.  It can be time consuming though.  Is there a rush in getting everything transferred over???

BTW there is an other custmer at powweb looking for a new host for the same reason I was, they asked if anyone knew of a host who does not have a 60 sec download time limit so I sent them IX webhosting I also asked them to come here and click on your IX link so you get credit when they order Smile

I am not sure depends how much time powweb gives me, they have been not so nice so who knows!   I have not canceled yet waiting to here from IX first.  I have to cancel my acct at powweb before I move right?

Thanks for your help I am nervous about the move.  Shocked  But do feel better with you helping me.

How long did it take to here from them when you joined?

No, DO NOT CANCEL your account with powweb until we have the IX site ready to go.  Otherwise, you could lose everything that you don't already have backed up...

I don't imagine it will take long before you receive your temp account information so that we can get started.  It should be tonight...

If done correctly, you should be able to transfer your whole site to IX with almost no downtime...
