Go ahead and try to install it on your Test board. I already worked out the conflicts and adjusted the code for the buttons. The Save as Drafts MOD should install easily on your Test board...

Slick as a whistle, No errors during install.
I saved a post as a draft 2 times then posted it. Also checked to see if after saved as draft if the # of articles changed and it didn't increase till I actually posted.
The above was saved as draft last nite. The rest is today.
I managed to install to all boards. Not slick as a whistle though as the test did.
I do not believe this mod has anything to do with how many times I had to click install mods and then click process as I find this with everything I install with EM.
I get:
Critical Error
Function Trace: open_files[5]->modio_open[2]->modio_mkdirs[1]->ftp_mkdir_struct[3]
FTP ERROR: could not make directory [admin]
Current dir: [/www/forums/pasadena/admin/mods/saveasdraft1.2.5/processed]
MOD script line #1801
There is an error each time you click install mods then click process...the difference in each is usually where the above says [admin] it will change to includes or language or templates. I feel this is a problem with EM or with EM and my server. |

The problem that you are describing is one that I've seen on a few other sites too. I don't know what causes it or how to fix it because it is a false error. For soem strange reason, your server tells EM that the new folder was not successfully created. But if you look in the MOD folder, you will see that in fact the new folder was created. So basically for you, you have to press the Back button in your browser and keep repeating the process until all the backups and processed folders are successfully created so that you can complete the MOD install. It is a PITA, but I don't know of any good way to work around the problem...

Shame but that is the world of computers. At least I know what is happening and just keep re-runing till it finishes.
Still EM is worth it to not have typos to deal with. Although I do wonder is this sometimes what is causing my doubling problem. |

EM doesn't apply any code to your phpBB files until you get to Step 3. So even though you have to go back and forth until all the new folders are created, none of your phpBB code is being altered. If you refresh the Step 3 page, it will double install the MOD though, so be careful not to do that in your browser after getting to Step 3...

That is where I think it is happening. I get to step 3 and click on complete installation. Then get some error (will c&p the next one) it has some problem with complete post process.
it don't move it over to installed mods. Not sure I'm explaining properly will C&P the error next time but it comes after step 3. |

Yeah, go ahead and post the error message when you get it. If the error is that EM was unble to create a folder, then that won't hurt to backup and try Step 3 again. None of the MOD code is applied until all the copy commands are successfully completed. If one of the copy commands creates a new folder, such as an install folder, then on your server, it will probably fail the first time around. So none of the MOD script would be applied to any of your files at that point...
