I need to start making some Flash animations. NR, you've said you like Swish. Have you tried any other software, and how would it compare?
Anybody else make Flash animations, and have any advice on software?
I've narrowed my choices to Swish Max at $100, and KoolMoves at $59. The seem comparable, looking at their websites.

The Macromedia software is on the expensive side, at $700 for full version and $400 for the basic version.
I need to make a slideshow of artwork, with one fading into the next. For another site, I don't know what the animation will do, but it'll promote the author's next book. And I don't know what the cover will look like. I think once we have the cover image, we'll think about what the animation should be. |

I have never used anything other than Swish to create Flash movies. I wanted to learn how to use Flash MX, but never got around to it...

| Thanks, NR. I guess I'll download both programs and play with them, see if either feels comfortable during the trial period, before I pay for anything. |

The older Swish was easier to understand than SwishMax. I think they overly complicated things. There are parts that I now struggle with that were easy in the older version. I don't know why they made it less intuitive...
