If I remember right you know how to make a flash web page so I am hoping you could help me. Smile

For my EF site - we need an enter page which needs to use index.htm .html or .chtml file types.

My first question is would it be possible to make a flash enter page using one of these file types? I prefer using index.htm since I know for sure that format is working. But they claim the others will work as well.

The flash movie would just be embedded in a regular HTML page. You would use the object tags to display the movie. Is this what you meant? You could also make the Flash movie so that everything is included in it and provide it as the main page with the swf file extension....

Now as far as how to do it you lost me. But to start I need to make a movie right? The game does have an option to record to make a movie but I am not sure what format it uses I will have to check that. What format does it need to be in?

I can make a sample movie now to use then later update it with the movie I want - its going to take a while to get the movie done the way I want it. Can you help me with making the page?

I will try to find a sample page of what I mean and post it for you.

I'm definitely not a Flash expert by any means. I use SwishMax to create my Flash movies. I can help you with the code, but I may not be of much help when it comes to creating the movie unless it can be created in SwishMax and isn't too complicated...

what is SwishMax and what format would that create the movies in? I do have a software program that will take one type of file for examply a movie made in quicktime and change it to a window medie file. Maybe it will change the file to a flash file I will have to try it.

I have a friend Viking16 who is almost an expert on making video's I am sure he will help me with that part of it.

SwishMax creates the movies in Flash format (SWF). If you want a Flash movie for your front page, it will have to be in swf format. I don't think WMP will convert a movie into Flash format though. In fact, I don't know of any program that can do that. There may be some out there, but I sure haven't heard of them...

SWF Converter version 1.0 can only convert AVI files to SWF. Apparently the 1.1 version from your link can do more than what I have...

We could probably create something like the Desert Rose movie that I created for Rosalie. It takes a long time to load on dial-up though so I'm not sure it would make a good home page...

Oh ya I had not thought of that - most likely would have the same problem if I made a movie. Oh well then I think I will stick with a normal page maybe with just some aminater gifs. I don't want dial up users to give up on our site due to long uploading.

If you don't make the movie too complicated, then you could keep it fairly small. The main reason that Desert Rose was so huge and took so long to download is because the song was included...
