How do I make pictures larger in posts?

As you can proudly tell I was able to include a pic in my post finally!  But it is too small to be seen>  How can I enlarge it ?  SHould it be enlarged before posting it in a post to the forum?  Could I get it to the size that I want first and put that desired size in a folder on my desktop and move it from that folder to my post?

ImageShack provides several different codes that you can copy and paste into your messages.  The one you have used recently is for thumbnail pictures, hence the small size.  It looks something like this:

<a href="http://img227.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img227&image=screenshot0453yy.jp g" target="_blank"><img src="http://img227.exs.cx/img227/6153/screenshot0453yy.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a>

and displays like this:

Free Image Hosting at <a href=www.ImageShack.us" />

The code you want to use is farther down in the ImageShack page.  It would look something like this:

and it would display like this in your message:
