Yes, your XP has clipboard. I don't know that anyone can "see" it or find it. It's just there. Like memory. LOL
When you press on the left hand button of the mouse, run it over a few words to highlight them and then right click the highlighted section you get a menu and can close "copy". That goes to the Clipboard and will remain there until you paste it somewhere. Or until you copy something else, then you lose what you had copied before, it is repaced in the clipboard.
That's what Gadwin does for you, saves the image to the clipboard. If you checked the squares in preferences that I suggested it also saves an image to the folder you had designated.
Test it out. Take a screen shot right now, a little section of this page. Open WordPad and click in the empy space then righ click and chose paste.
The image of the screen shot you took should appear.
Hope that answered your question.

OK Rosalie, I just read and tested what you said about clicking on PrintScreen after selecting a segment of the text and then going to Paint and pressing paste. Suddenly, there it magically appeared. I suspect that you could do the same using notepad. I'll see. Another "Arrow in my Quiver" to be used later. My education continues. Thanks. |

You can paste text that's been saved to the Clipboard into Notepad, but not graphics...
