It says HTML is on, so how do I use HTML coding in a post? Typing in normal HTML doesn't work; the code shows in the message.

Edit: I tested centering in Test area. Nightrider, do you have an easily accessible list of the HTML tags you've allowed in here? Just so I'll know what I can do, and won't have to experiment with the preview a lot. If you don't, no problem, I'll play with the tags and figure 'em out over time.

The following are all the HTML tags that I have enabled to date.  If there are any tags that are not in this list that you would like to use, I will look into adding them too.  BigR, I notice from your Test message that you wanted to use the paragraph tag.  It wasn't previously part of my HTML list, so I just added it too...

Thank you! I've copied the list. Thanks for adding the paragraph tag, too. I often use that, or the DIV tag, to center images or text. But I can use the center tag instead, just need to know what's allowed.

You are welcome bigR.  I will add the DIV tag so that you can use it too.  You can go ahead and add it to your list...

WOW!  We can have background music!   I really need to look into some of this stuff.  This is almost like building a web page.

Basically these little posts are all little simplified web pages.  If you choose to include sound in your post, you need to remember that others can too.  So if there is more than one song in a displayed page of a thread, then there will be a conflict.  You may end up with more than one song playing at the same time.  Also, each song will have to download before it can play.  So it is likely to slow down the page load of the thread.  For those using dial-up, they may not be able to wait for the page to load...

Probably it would be best to only post one song per thread...

My Mozilla won't play music that's coded using the embed tag, only music coded with bgsound. Dunno if that's a change in Mozilla, or something in my settings.

I don't hear music on this page... which is okay, since I don't particularly like to have music on a web page. I often surf after my husband is in bed, and my office is just down the hall from our bedroom. Wink Gotta remember to turn the sound down.

Edit: Thank you, Nightrider. That DIV tag is the one I use most often for centering images, but I could certainly remember to us the CENTER tag instead. I'm pretty flexible on coding, and you're very accommodating as an admin.

This is weird. Mozilla won't play your midi file, rb2, but it will play an embedded midi file in a page I wrote here, for Halloween.

When I load the page here, it pops up an error window: Unknown extension on file. The location is in its cache, and it doesn't put an extension on ANY file in the cache. Duh.

Wonder if I've got some setting wrong?

bigR, I deleted the music I had.  It played fine for me in Netscape but otherwise did a real number on the entire site.  When I tried to post a reply the music would stop for a couple of seconds, long enough for me to type a couple of letters, then the music started again and everything froze.

I never could get the music to play with the HTML tag in the list.  Here is the path for the music:

http://4fxearth.net/music/starspa.mid

What would the tag be to make it play in this thread?
