I have 4 boards.
Think I am about ready to install some mods and themes. But have a question. In trying to save quaddruple loading everythng (disk space).
Is it possible to share users in the database and the users still have the liberty of setting each board with a different theme? |

Hey KeeKee,
Yes, it could be done but it wouldn't really save you much space. If your host is like our's, I don't think your database use is counted against the available space on your FTP Server. Often times, the database is stored on a separate server from your FTP Server...
To share the Users table among your four boards, the code will need to be modified on each board. There is no MOD that I know of that will make this type of adjustment to your code...

I don't mind doing the leg work. Just not sure what to not change.
I would think you would not share the profile in order for people to be able to customize each board. but my thoughts could screw things up:).

I also read about people having hugh databases. I thought it would be less redundant work to only have to install avies and smilies, themes and such in one place. But then again I kinda like installing smilies that fit the boards theme 
Are themes and templates the same thing? Yes I am extremely new to this  |

KeeKee, those instructions from the link you provide seem pretty straight forward. If you share the Users table among your 4 boards, you would be sharing the User's Profile since that data is all stored in the Users table. If you choose to try those instructions, make sure you create good backups of all your files just in case something goes wrong...
Themes, styles, and templates are all one in the same thing. The words are used interchangably...
