It did blow up. I can't restart it and I think it's completely had it. I think that is a a part of the ploy to get back at me for scaring you the other day. Thanks for ruining my laptop, you owe me a new one.

Actually that was for a compaq laptop, mine is a toshiba. Doesn't matter I can put up with it. Gives me a chance to cool it down after being on for over 12 hours at a time. |

Sometimes just reseating the card helps. Take it out completly and press it back in. I have solved graphic problems that way a few times. However the problem was with display and not errors.
I think the first thing I would try would be to reinstall the drivers you already have.

I doubt that you have to open it up to fix the laptop. Just update your drivers and that may do the trick, just like Bobby just did with his HP Scanner drivers...
