Giveaway of the Day - iResizer
March 10, 2011iResizer scales an image without changing important visual content such as people, buildings, animals, etc. While normal resizing affects all pixels uniformly when scaling an image, iResizer resizing mostly affects pixels in areas that do not have important visual content.
iResizer lets you shrink or enlarge images to improve a composition, fit a layout, or change the orientation. It is a handy way to resize images non uniformly while preserving the key features of the picture.
You can mark important elements in the image using green marker, this technique is handy if you have areas of the image that you want to retain at the expense of other areas and it can be used to protect people in the image as well. You can also use red marker to select which features of the image should be discarded.

Looks like it works pretty good so far. Actually I think it's pretty amazing! Doesn't do too well on text but then it's an image app after all. Did real well on the numbers however. I call this program a keeper for sure!

Another example. The original was 400x410 and I resized it to 400x300 (for a puzzle). With any other program a resize like that would distort everything, here you hardly notice any difference except everything is a bit closer together.
Can you tell I love this program!! LOL I have no idea how it works I'm just glad it does.

The free offer is gone but you can download a copy to try out for free. It's really neat in what it does and it may be worth $30 to someone that has a need for it. I'll leave it up for a bit longer just in case ....
I used it a lot at first but I keep forgetting I have it! I've really enjoyed it. I'll keep watching Giveaway of the Day and if it's offered again I'll post it.
