Hi Nightrider, I'm thinking of going with phplinkdirectory instead. This one has reciprocal link, featured link and fee based functions that can be used with this one. It looks more pro that the Advark one too (well it would do if I managed to get the colours changed to match the subSilver template. I don't know how to change the colours, can’t see any docs to go by at the moment but I will keep looking.
Anyway, I'm just testing the directory software out at the moment but have noticed in Admin panel I have the message "Configuration file is still writeable by the user the webserver runs under. This poses a major security risk, please drop writing permissions for include/config.php file immediately!"
I've changed the file permission to 644 as well tried a few other permissions but the message just won't go away.
Any ideas |

If you go here http://www.prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php and type in http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/
You'll see a page rank of 7. That is a quality page rank and is very hard to get. Most average sites these days are lucky to get a page rank of 1 - 4
Only company’s like BBC get high page ranks 7 - 10
So the ones that run phplinkdirectory have done very well getting there site ranked well.
Of course if you link from the homepage of your directory linking back to the phplinkdirectory which is what powers your directory (code etc) you'll get some good traffic of it. That could take 2 - 3 months or even a year + for search engines to pickup on the related content etc linkback but it's well worth it.
Even better if you can get them to link back to your own directory from there site lol |

I'm taking off for the evening, so I will have to take a look at this later. There just aren't enough hours in the day...
