My test board is babydreamz.net/test and I just installed the user notes mod but it doens't open in a new window or a pop up. I partly did it with Easymod but there were lots of things it couldn't find so I finished it manually.

It's actually better to correct the MOD script than to ignore the Warning errors and complete the MOD install. EM will install what it can, but it won't install code into files where there are known conflicts...

I've done really well tonight! I used Em for all the mods installed so far, I feel much more confident with it all  
Just one question, I installed a report post mod and the only thing EM couldn't find was this bit of code

Why does it try to open the Diddle overall_header.tpl file instead of the subSilver overall_header.tpl file. EM will try to modify all template files whenever subSilver is listed in the OPEN command. When you specify only the Diddle template, then subSilver will not be adjusted too. It is best to keep the modifications throughout your templates consistent to avoid future MOD install problems...
The reason EM can't FIND the style code in the Diddle overall_header.tpl file is because the Diddle overall_header.tpl file doesn't contain any style information. Instead, it uses the style settings in the Diddle.css file. As long as the MOD added code to the css file, then it will work correctly on templates where style information is not included in the overall_header.tpl file...

Yes, you should be able to Restore the EM Backups, then adjust the MOD script like this:

ReportSystem.txt
FIND

There's one other thing to adjust, is when a mod clicks on the report button, it says they aren't authorized to view. |
