I've done this before but I can't work it out again  Embarassed  Rolling Eyes

I use icons for my header links - log in, search, FAQ etc, I added a mod so that my message icon flashed so I don't need to text link next to is telling me I have a new message - where do I go to delete that txt link?

Since you added an image to the PM hyperlink, you can remove the following from your Diddle/overall_header.tpl file, which is the variable and some extra characters for the displayed text that you no longer need:
