I really need this mod, so, even if I have to pay someone that could make one I will. It doesn't have to be nothing fancy just as long as it works with the music upload mod I'm using http://www.phpbbhacks.com/download/3072 Smile

That's not as easy as it might sound. Until PHP 5.2, there was no code included to monitor file upload progress. Obviously this has been a problem for a lot of people, so there have been workarounds created to deal with this situation. Here is some of what I found on the subject:

Doing a Google search revealed other workarounds to the problem too. Do you know the current PHP version your host is using on your server???

I did a lot of googling for "phpBB music progress upload bar" but no good

As to which version my host uses... I see this in phpMyAdmin:

MySQL client version: 4.1.21

Going by what I read in most posts it sounds a right nightmare though yeah. Loads on phpbb.com have been asking for it by all the members keep getting is sarcasm from the mod authors etc. just because they know they really want it. Which is stupid... they should just get on with it. They can seem to do everything else as easy as 123 Shocked

I’m going to check out the links now though Nightrider cheers. I won't know how to work the uploader to work with the music mod but I’ll still have a read...

The AJAX uploader may be the easiest to implement, but that is just a guess on my part. I looked at some of the code and they provide a couple of new classes that can be included in the Music MOD code. Then the trick would be to modify the code to include the progress bar. I'm not sure if that would be extremely easy or hard to accomplish though...

Well it would be great if you could give it a go for me Nightrider. I'd happily send you money via paypal for whatever time it took you to get the progress bar working with the music upload mod and to get it working... should it go ok that is…

I really need this mod you see!! So it would be money well spent if I could get the progress bar working for my forum. And of course if I had anyone customize a mod for me I’d be a happy man if it was done by you!!! headbang

Surely it’s got to be a worth a try… if you do. I'd keep away from adding stuff to the board like mods etc so I wouldn't interfere with you testing stuff etc prayer
