I have a basic report post mod on my forum, but it doesn't give the person anywhere to say why its being reported which would be really handy to have.
Would it be possible to modify the mod to enable this or is this a way big job?  |

I imagine that it might take a considerable amount of work to add that functionality. Without seeing a copy of the MOD script, that is only a guess though. So could you provide a link to the MOD topic and/or download ???

I have no idea as someone installed it for ages ago 
I looked on phpBB.com but even the basic one on there does more than the one we have

Well if you can find the MOD script for what you have installed, it can be removed and replaced with a newer version. Perhaps the MOD author of the newer version included update scripts for the older versions too. It might be worth looking...

So you have an older version of his MOD installed? You might try sending him an email and explain your situation. The MOD author may have copies of all versions of the MOD and can make them available to you...

Hey Karen,
I have Democracy MOD installed which is very useful on my board. It have Report post system, User Warning/Banning, Reputation System.
I think you should try this MOD which will give you lots of functions
