Abnormal posts widening fix

Bottom aligned signature
1.2.1
Fix Session Error

I’m not sure if these are needed with my phpbb installation. I installed Bottom aligned signature but it didn't make a difference. I guess this was added in .22... ? |

The signature has always been a problem in phpBB. They tend to float around and don't typically remain the same size all the time. So that MOD was intended to fix that. I don't know if you need the Fix Sessions MOD. They have spent a lot of time trying to fix that problem. I don't know if they were ever successful or not. I do know that a lot of people were complaining about session problems after the 2.0.22 Udpate was released and installed...
You probably would want to install a MOD that controls the width of the images posted in your messages. But I think I removed the Abnormal posts widening in favor of the Resize Posted Images Based on Max Width MOD by spooky2280...

Ok thanks for the info. I might as well leave Fix Sessions on...
I would have thought the abnormal posts widening would have been better than Resize Posted Images Based on Max Width as it doesn't just resize images...
Edit: when you get chance check your pms... just sent you one m8 |

One of the MODs that resize the images really lugged the page generation times down. I had to uninstall 20 MODs to pinpoint the source of the problem. I don't know if it was the abnormal posts widening MOD or something else, but after I got it removed, everything returned to normal again. I didn't have that problem with the Resize Posted Images Based on Max Width MOD though...

Kewl. Glad I asked now! I'll use the Resize Posted Images Based on Max Width MOD rather than use the abnormal post widening instead now!!!! |

You can set the width to whatever you want before you install the MOD. I think I used 550 or something like that. The default is 400...

Well I haven't looked into that mod yet... I’m just putting a load of mods on the forum at the moment to bulk it up LOL... I did a list from your mods list and going though all the ones I want installed whenever I get chance |

Ok, just so you'll know when you're ready to install it. If you forget, then you can always adjust it in the code later if you want it to display wider. But on your narrow forum, you may not want it wider than 400...

Ok I see, well I'll leave it set to default unless I decide to make the forum template bigger

I doubt that you will need to adjust the width. I'll take a look at the PM next if I can...
