I had a mod installed which showed a box on your index when you had a new private message. After the mess up it isnt there now and i cant find a record of it.
BUT
It still has "You have no new messages" on the left hand side in normall text.
Before it was centred, in a box and dissapearded when you read the pm. Is there any recommendations on re doing this? |

I'm thinking that if you lost all the MODs that were installed into this template, that you probably should try to bring it back up to speed before installing any other new MODs. How many MODs were installed on your forum before you had this trouble the other day???

The guts of 15. Some are showing ok, Quiz, Advanced Links etc
I deleted Softblue completeley. foolishly mite i add as i did it more or mess not thinking.
But then backed up a few mods (restored backups)when i reinstalled it. So i could re install with the new softblue.
Now they have error, some i think where there and had to be fixed the first time round. So its basically re installing nearly every mod on a new template. |

Since you only have 15 MODs installed, it might be easiest to Restore the EM Backups for ALL 15 MODs, then reinstall them. It would probably take longer to create template only versions of the MODs to install into SoftBlue...
If you are using EM to install all of these MODs, it really shouldn't take very long to Restore the Backups then reinstall them again...

If you are using EM to Restore the Backups, all of your templates would be back to the beginning after restoring all the backups. They all would have the MOD code removed...

I did backups for them and reinstalled them with the new template.
But now im getting errors with a few of them which ive posted.
Alot of the other ones are still working like Quiz etc
If i remember rite all these errors where here first time round installing them, but the backups seem to be saved before i made the changes to make the mods work if that makes sense

So are you installing these MODs manually? If you were using EM and restoring the EM backups, none of the MODs would be working in any template because the MOD code would have been removed from all of them. It sounds like you might have a mess on your hands if you are doing all of this manually...

I am using Easy Mod with all the MODs.
What happend was, uninstalled my old Softblue template - re installed a new one. Backed up the mods that werent visible with the new one and reinstalled them threw EM. Some installed fine, and the others are posted on here.
Im sorry if im confusing things |

But unless you are creating Template Only versions of those MODs, you are making a huge mistake by reinstalling those MODs. Not only is EM installing the MOD code into SoftBlue, but it is installing the code again into all other templates AND it is installing duplicate code into ALL of your non-template phpBB files. So you could really be making a mess if I am understanding you correctly...
