Hello NightRider,
I see in my forum's root the same files 2, 2 times! I mean duplicate. Some of the names are admin_attach_cp.php, admin_attachments.php, admin_irc_chat.php and 10-15 more!!!
I didn't do anything but when I went to make a backup from FrontPage to my PC so I saw all these duplicate files. I havn't deleted any one of them and the forum is running smoothly too.
From where these came! Any idea ? |

I just looked at your forum folder on your FTP Server and don't see what you are saying. There is no way there would be duplicate files anyway. If the font case is different, it is possible to have more than one file with the same spelling, but since you are on a Linux server, then the files would be treated as separate. So you could have two files named INDEX.php and index.php and they would be treated as different files since the font case in the name are different. That doesn't seem to be the case on your server though...
I really don't see any problem at this point. If I have misunderstood the question, could you try to explain it a bit more for me???

Yeah, you are right. The two files if there is font case problem than it will be treated as different as I saw for my images and knew but now when i go to funwadi folder, under that there is forum and inside that is called root of forum yeah. So down 1st there is a list of folders of forum and more below there is a list of files such as activity.php, activity_char.php, etc.
Just below these files I see the same character, same font case, same size file with the same name!
I don't know from where they came and got copied. Strange to me. Eventhough the forum running smoothly! |

It sounds like a problem with the display in your FTP application. You might want to shut it down, then relaunch it. Which FTP application are you using???
This is what I see in SmartFtp and there are no duplicated files...

Yeah, it must have been a temporary glitch in the display in your FTP Application. It was displaying duplicates that didn't exist. By restarting, it reset the program and everythign is displaying as it should...
