I tried sending a mass email out but I got this error

Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 550 5.2.1 ... Mailbox disabled for this recipient

I sent one before that to the mods and that went through ok, does it mean that someone on the list has a disabled mailbox? And if so does it mean that it stops all the emails getting through to my members? (I haven't got my admin copy Crying or Very sad

)
Is the debug message something different?

Karen, I apologize for the slow response. I've been feeling pretty lousy lately...

One complaint I have about phpBB is that almost every error that it encounters, phpBB throws its arms in the air and gives up no matter how minor the error. They could have written it so that phpBB displayed the error and logged it, then continued on with the next request...

I have never encountered the problem that you posted here, but I would guess that everyone before a member received their mass email, but form the error member on, none were sent. I imagine that phpBB simply gave up when it encountered one error. So if you have 50 members and the error occured on member 26, then 25 members received email while the rest did not...

I thought I'd try deleting recent spammers who signed up and that did the trick - email went through no problem!

If your site is like RCF, then you are probably getting about 12-20 bogus registrations every single day. That keeps rb busy deleting them. They are usually easy to spot, so it doesn't take much research to determine that the registration needs to be deleted...
