| now this is bad. If you want to register youl have to enter a visual code. The problem is the code is just such small red cross. What you get is a picture can't be found. So what now? |

I've seen this problem on other sites too where their phpBB forum was completely unaltered. I've tried to figure out why the confirmation code would work correctly on one site and not another but I have yet to figure out why. I suspect that it might have something to do with the host since the confirmation code is being created by default php functions that would be located in the host software...
Other than turning it off so that people can register, I really don't know what to suggest to correct this problem...

| On my last forum that broke down after some manuel moding it did show up so it can't be my host. But if I swith it off, what can I do to still keep my forum save from bots. |

If you turn it off, you can still set it so that they have to receive an activation email and take that extra step to activate the account. The bots don't have the ability to follow through with the next step, but humans can...
