I would be surprised if they are saving as MPEGs since they are of MOD file type. Does your browser try to open or download the files? You can check in Explore to make sure that the MOD file type is not set to open with a graphic program...
Then go to the File Types tab and search for MOD...

It saves it as per normal with the option or running it or saving it.
Here's how its set, I changed it to notepad but its still saying its an mpeg and to open using powerdvd (never heard of it until today!)
I just tried again and this is what it says when I try to download

When I change what it opens with it doesn't give me the option of apply.
I see I can make new extentions - would that work?? |

You might want to check the Preferences/Options in the program that you are using to download these files and make sure that the MOD file extension is set to open in Notepad or whatever text editor that works best for you. I prefer 1st Page 2000...
